WD My Book World Edition

May 6, 2012 - I just bought a 1.5 TB WD My Book World Edition ("MBWE"), and am looking forward to turning it into an "always-on" home Linux server.

November 18, 2012 - the MBWE has been hacked (see Reading List, below), and now thanks to the guys from the NSLU2 project who developed a really nifty software packaging system called Optware, I can use the ipkg command to add/remove software packages:

# ipkg -help
# ipkg list | less
# ipkg list_installed | less
